We Will Post Little Blurbs About All The Players Here And Will Expand As We See More Of Them This Spring.
Allie, Stetson-6'4 225-RHP-St. Edward-Ohio-2010-Commitment: North Carolina
A big, strong RHP and top prospect out of Ohio, Allie hit 99 this past summer and continued his dominance throught the showcase circuits, resulting in AFLAC and UA games appearneces. Could be used at the back end of games in pro ball. Smooth mechanics, fluid motion which he constantly repeats.
Alvord, Zach-6'0 180-INF-South Forsyth-Georgia-2010-Commitment:Auburn
A true athlete out in the field, Alvord has the ability to any position and has a strong arm, often throwing 90+ across the infield. Up at the plate, Alvord seems to have a compact swing, but shows great power potential. Keep an eye on this Georgian throughout the spring.
Cole, Andrew-6'5 190-RHP-Oviedo-Florida-2010-Commitment:Miami
Cole, who has a fluid pitching motion, has run his fastball up to 98 and he still has room to grow. Some say he has a chance to break the 100 mph line and is one of the top 2 pitching prospects in the 2010 class. Also throws a plus curveball and a change up and will hear his name called early come June.
Covey, Dylan-6'2 200-RHP-Maranatta-California-2010-Commitment:San Diego
One of many pitchers to appear on this list with a mid-90's fastball, but Covey can command it and pound the zone. Good mechanics and throws from over the top, Covey repeats his deliver and also features a plus curveball. Odds are he won't be stepping foot on the campus at San Diego.
Cowart, Kaleb-6'3 190-RHP-Cook County-Georgia-2010-Commitment:Florida State
Florida State's top recruit, Cowart has a strong arm both in the field and on the mound. At the plate he is a switch hitter, hitting from from a wide stance with a small stride, Cowart projects more as a pitcher as he has run his fastball up to 95. His mechanics are smooth and repeated, as he is an all around athlete that excels at the game of baseball.
Gallo, Joey-6'4 195-Inf/P-Bishop Gorman-Nevada-2012
A strong lefthanded bat with a lot of pop, Gallo is one of the elite bats in the class of 2012. Ball jumps off the bat but he also has a strong arm both from the infield and off the mound, running it up to 90, but odds are he ends up in the field.
Harrison, Travis-6'2 215-Inf/Of-Tustin-California-2011
The best hitter in the class of 2011, Harrison knows how to hit. He has a fluid swing and can absolutely mash the ball. Don't let his big-league frame fool you though, Harrison can get down the line quickly with above-average speed. It will be fun to follow him throught the next two years.
Taillon, Jameson-6'7 230-RHP-The Woodlands-Texas-2010-Commitment:Rice
The number one high school pitcher in his class, Taillon has the frame every scout looks for. With a fastball in the mid-90's, plus curveball and a change to compliment, Taillon mechanics are nearly flawless, with just minors changes to be made.
Whitson, Karsten-6'4 190-RHP-Chipley-Florida-2010-Commitment:Flordia
A strong RHP from Florida equipped with a plus fastball and a slider with potential, odds are Whitson will not be making it to "The Swamp" next year as he will be a high pick. A high leg kick and a quick arm, Whitson will make a team happy come the draft in June.
